FOR EQUESTRIA DAILY'S NEWBIE ARTIST TRAINING GROUNDS 2: DAY 1: Draw an idle pony.

Yay! It's finally done. This picture took a few days and I'm really proud of it, so when the newbie artist training grounds came up yesterday, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to enter because I wouldn't be able to get another picture done in time. (I work kinda slowly.) However, Day 1's challenge turned out to be an easy one - Draw an idle pony! Well, as you can see, Rainbow Dash is just standing there idly in the rain so I figured this counts. Off to the submission process!

I'm really happy to be able to take a part in the ATG! :) I guess I'm kind of a newbie. My popularity as a pony artist is about zip, zilch, zero, so maybe I can make a good impression with this. Too bad school starts for me at the end of August... With school, I have very little free time to make art. :(

No worries though. Popularity isn't my game.

Anyway, I like Rainbow's expression. I think that's what won me over. Also like some of the details like the reflection on the ground and the rainbow in the background. So keep up the good work!

Thank you! I had a lot of fun messing around with the reflection and I tried to make the rainbow kind of realistic.
